Aloha

A new chapter is opening in my life. I'm excited and nervous and everything else in between. This past week I moved to Hawaii. I am enrolled in a class, Midwifery for Third World Countries.
I will be in class here for six months, then it'll be off to another country to study under a licensed midwife. The last time I checked they were sending their students to Africa. The second stent of the program lasts from 18 months to 2 years.
I'm very excited to see where this leads and to see what God does next. When I first arrived in Hawaii I didn't have a place to stay, the night before I flew out my housing fell through. It can be a little stressful to move to a new area where you don't know anyone and not have a place to live. However, God is always faithful and takes care of me! A sweet 82 year old lady opened her home to me with no notice and really no time to think about it.
Since then I have met so many people and in four short days I have more permanent housing that I'll be moving to next week. With so many uncertainties here when I landed I haven't had a chance to really relax and enjoy where I'm at. I'm still raising support for school and living. As with any island the cost of living is a little higher than living on a main land.
My next "concern" is transportation. Where I'm staying at right now I'm able to walk to wherever I need to go … not always an easy task. But the house I'm moving into next week is a 20+ minute drive to school. So there will be no walking to it.
It was a long hot walk but I found Wal-Mart
As always I appreciate all prayers and words of encouragement. I'm thankful to be able to follow the calling that God has placed on my life. If you would like to contribute towards either my schooling or a vehicle I have two easy ways to give. If you need record of your giving for tax reasons you can give through my church by downloading the Givelify App on your phone.
